1.Could someone please explain to me about time constant like in RC circuits.

Like if we have some resistance in series and parallel to a capacitor what is time constant. Will R be the total resistance or will it be resistance in series with the capacitor???

2.Also could some explain to me about excess pressure?

There is a question like there are 2 bubbles on either side of a straw and having radius r1,r2 and tension t1,t2 respectively. (r1>r2). What will be the new radius of the bigger bubble???

3.Do dipoles obey newton's 3rd law if not why??

4.What are the condition's for amperes circuital law??

5.Assertion : In elastic collission between a partive and a fixed surface the components of the particle velocities normal to the surface before and after collisions are equal in magnitude.

Reason:In absence of any external force a systems linear momentum is conserved.

I feel both the statements are true. What do you feel??

6.A spherical conducting shell with a small hole is placed in an external electric field as shown. The field inside the hole is E/2.  Outside the sphere there exists an electric field E.

Is the statement true or false??

Also could you explain how the hole effects the electric field inside inside the conductor????

7.A liquid filled upto height H of beaker of density rho. Find pressure exerted on the walls of the beaker???Please explain???

to find effective time constant in RC circuits , remove the battery and replace it by connecting wires. now find effective resistance across the ends of the capacitor. call this resistance as R(effective).now effective time const is R(efective) * C.

excess pressure: P(concave side) - P(convex side)= 2T/R.
