For the following question, I feel answer is Option-C, because Carbon on obtaining electron gets a stable half filled 2p orbitals. Hence, Carbon should have high electron affinity. But the answer is given as Option-A. Kindly, confirm that Option-C is correct. If not, kindly explain how it is Option-A.

Question: The correct order of electron affinity of O, N, C and B are in the order   a) B < C < O > N       b) B > C > N > O     c) B < C > O > N     d) B > C < O < N

O has more E.A. than C. Half filled aspect (that too of p alone) is not the only consideration. Option c) says C > O which can't be correct. a) is fine.
