Water flows through a horizontal tube as in figure(in the attachment provided.)If the difference of heights of water columns in the vertical tubes is 2cm and the area of cross sections at A and B are 4 cm2 and 2cm2 respectively,find the rate of flow of water through any section.

This is a pressure difference problem. The part where the tube is constricted the pressure there is lower than the pressure at the wider cross section according to bernoulli's equation. You can find the v1/v2 using equation of continuity. Then second equation will be the bernoulli's equation itself.
pgh1-pgh2=(1/2)P(V22-V12 ) You know h1- h2. Now use the two equations to find v1 and v2
