Let the total no. of terms = 2n; common diff. = d
Given,
24 = n/2 [ 2a + (n-1)(2d) ]
30 = n/2 [ 2(a+d) + (n-1)(2d) ]
a + (2n-1)d = a + 10.5
On solving these eq. we get ;
a=1.5 ; n=4 ; thus, 2n = 8 ; d=1.5
