New version of virtual classrooms is live now. Besides some other changes the following changes would be quite useful as instant text messaging is used a lot in the classes. The screenshot on the left below shows instant text messaging window where one can see one line for typing. This is useful for short messages.

However, in case of longer messages a feature has been added for convenience. Once cursor is taken to the typing area and double click is performed, the typing area becomes wide as can be seen in the screensot on the right above.
In the screenshots above when the cross x at top right is clicked, the window floats as shown in the screenshot below.
Participants window can also be floated in the same manner.
