Why isn't there any dispersion of white light, when it passes through a glass slab?? Why does it only occur through a prism?

Good question Akshat! Dispersion does happen in case of glass slab. Have a look at the figure attached.

Then can the spectrum be also obtained on a screen in case of a glass slab?
