0.3 g of oxalate salt was dissolved in 100 ml solution. this solution requires 90 ml of N/20 KMnO4 for complete  oxidation. the % of oxalate ion in salt is:

a) 33%

b) 66%

c) 70%

d)40%

milliequivalents of KMnO4 = 1/20 * 90 = 4.5 = millieq of oxalate salt

now millieq = n-factor * millimoles

so millimoles of oxalate are 2.25

hence mass of oxalate ion = 2.25 * 10-3 *88 = .198= 0.2

so percentage = 66 %
