out of cyclopropane,cyclobutane ,cyclopentane and cyclohexane

which one has the max ring strain????

I think its cyclopropane due to maximum deviation from stable angle of 109 degree.

yes you are correct Ankul,the angle of cyclo propane is 60. whereas it is 90. for cyclo butane(which is less strained).the angle of cyclo pentane is 109.

(which is least strained).The angle of Cyclo hexane is 120. which is also considered to be more strained but can be made less strained by considering boat and chair shaped conformations

The internal angle of cyclopropane is 60 degree which deviates by 49.5 degree with original bond angle . Angle Strain exists in cyclopropane because the sp3 orbitals of the carbon atoms cannot overlap effectively.

Also the ring is planar , the C-H bonds of the ring are eclipsed and the molecule has torsional strain as well .
