doubt

by pulkit pandey -

hello

my doubt --

a positively charged sphere of mass  m  is attached by a spring of  k=10000 N/m . The sphere is tied with a thread so that the spring is in its natural length .Another identical , negatively charged sphere is fixed with the floor ,vertically below the 1st charge . Initial separation is  r=50cm and charge on each sphere is  q=100microC. Calculate maximum elongation of spring if string is burnt . g=10.

can this be solved without energy method (like force method ?)

CAN ANYONE SOLVE THIS QUESTION Triangle ABC is an equilateral triangle each side being 60 units. At a time t=0,a particle P starts from a and moves along side AC towards C,at a constant rate of 2 units per second,A second particle Q starts from the midpoint of bc with a variable rate so that the area of triangle PQC becomes half of the area of triangle ABC.Determine the time at which Q's rate becomes the same as that of P.

The Equivalent definition of f(x) = max.{x2, (1-x)2 , 2x(1-x) }, where 0<x<1 is given by

<>(a) f(x) = x2 ; 0<x<1/3
2x(1-x) ; 1/3<x<2/3
(1-x)2 ; 2/3<x<1

(b) f(x) = (1-x)2 ; 0<x<1/3
2x(1-x) ; 1/3<x<2/3
x2 ; 2/3<x<1

(c) both of these

(d) none of the above

What is the charge on the earthed side?

If it is zero then why?Give a logical proof

I am having a doubt in Electrostatics.

Is the magnitude of electric field constant over an equipotential surface?

Please tell me.

I am having a doubt-

An electric dipole of dipole moment (p->.l->) is placed on the axis of a circular ring at a distance x from the centre of the ring. +Q charge is spread uniformly over the ring. Radius of the ring is r. The negative charge is placed closer the the ring. What is the force acting on the dipole due to the ring?

1-2 ion shift

Sir,
would you please tell me about relative shift of different groups e.g. Hydride, methide, C6h5- etc in carbocationic rearrangements. I missed out 1 chem question in screening due to this misunderstanding. also please tell me how can I clearly tell whether a reaction is going SN1,SN2,E2,E1.eg 'sometimes'
aq.KOH can be used in E2,SN1. please clarify this 'sometimes'.
